According to the user, their account had been paused on the platform for several months, but they continued using the platform and submitting appeals despite the restriction.
Expressing excitement after receiving the payment, the user wrote:
“So our oga here paus£d me since last year but I no too reason am, appealed a few times and I just continued doing my thing here, no stress. Today I got this… Thank you Elon.”
The post quickly attracted widespread attention on the platform, with many users expressing surprise at the size of the payout.
Several users congratulated the influencer and described the development as evidence of the growing earning potential for content creators on X.
The discussion also reignited conversations about creator revenue sharing on the platform, a system introduced under Elon Musk’s leadership to reward users for generating high engagement.
Meanwhile, Oyindamola later quoted the original post and directed a question to Grok, X’s artificial intelligence chatbot, seeking clarification about the payout system.
She asked whether X only pays creators for the last three months of eligible impressions after an account is restored from restriction.
In response, Grok explained that X’s Creator Revenue Sharing Terms generally calculate payouts based on impressions generated within the most recent 90 days.
“Payouts occur on a regular basis for, at most, the preceding 90 days,” the AI response noted.
The explanation also stated that paused periods usually do not accumulate revenue, and previously withheld earnings could be affected if the account violated platform policies.
Creators were advised to check their monetization dashboards or connected Stripe accounts for accurate details about their payouts.
The viral post has continued to spark interest among social media users, particularly those curious about how much content creators can earn through engagement on the platform.
