Aminu Yar’Adua, the son of Nigeria’s former president, Late Umaru Yar’Adua has been remanded by a Magistrate’s Court in Yola.
Aminu Yar’Adua, 36, was remanded in prison for allegedly crushing four people to death in a car crash in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
Yar’Adua, who is a student of the American University of Nigeria, Yola, was dragged to the Magistrate court for reportedly causing the of death of four persons, and leaving two others severely injured.

The accident reportedly occured on due to dangerous driving on the part of the accused on 23 June, 2021.
A Police First Information Report presented by lead prosecutor, Insp. Zakka alleged that Musa perpetrated the act while riving along the Yola bye-pass.
Zakka stated the all four dead victims of the accident as well as their injured counterparts hail from Sabon Pegi, Yola South Local Government Area of teh state.

“Those that died in the accident were identified as: Aisha Umar (30), Aisha Mamadu (32), Suleiman Abubakar (2) and Jummai Abubakar (30); while Rejoice Annu (28) and Hajara Aliyu (27) sustained injuries,” according to the FIR.
The prosecuting officer also told the court that the relatives of late Aisha Umar, Suleiman Abubakar and Jummai Abubakar made demands of the sum of N15m as compensation from Aminu Yar’Adua.
The defendant denied committing the offence read out by the prosecuting counsel, describing the allegations as untrue.
Presiding Magistrate, Jummai Ibrahim, however, adjourned the case to 19th August, 2021, ordering for Amniu Yar’Adua to be remanded in prison until then.
