Veteran Nollywood actor Yemi Ayebo has expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of appreciation from popular singer Olamide, who used his name in one of his songs without any form of compensation.
Speaking in a recent interview, Ayebo, famously known as Yemi My Lover, revealed that he was initially thrilled to hear Olamide mention his name in the track.

However, the excitement gradually faded when he realized the gesture wasn’t followed by any form of acknowledgment or reward.
According to him, during a conversation with Fuji star Pasuma, he raised the issue and was surprised to learn that there had been no attempt from Olamide to reach out to him. Pasuma then connected the two by giving him Olamide’s number.
Despite the effort, Ayebo claimed the communication attempt went unanswered.
“I called him for over six months and he never picked up or replied to my text messages,” he lamented.
The actor added, “When Olamide used my name in his song ‘Yemi My Lover,’ I was so happy, but he didn’t compensate me. Pasuma gave me Olamide’s number and I called him for over six months, but he never picked up, so I just let it go…”
