Popular Nollywood actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi has announced plans to lead a protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly to demand justice for the late singer Mohbad. The protest is set for September 30, coinciding with the start of the coroner’s inquest into Mohbad’s death.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Fabiyi urged the public to join the demonstration, aimed at pressuring the police to obtain CCTV footage from Mohbad’s residence. He emphasized that the footage is crucial to uncovering the truth surrounding the singer’s untimely passing.
Fabiyi explained that the goal of the protest is to prompt the Lagos State government to establish a committee to recover the CCTV evidence. “We must apply legitimate pressure and peacefully protest at the Lagos State House of Assembly on September 30, 2024,” he wrote.

Yomi Fabiyi also warned that those responsible for Mohbad’s death are attempting to cover up evidence, spending large sums of money to create distractions. Fabiyi encouraged people to unite for the cause, saying, “Come one, come all, and let’s speak with one voice. This struggle needs you. Please be orderly and civil when attending.”
