Yomi Fash-Lanso, a seasoned figure in the entertainment industry, recently made an appeal to the public to refrain from solely identifying him as an actor.
Instead, Yomi emphasized his multifaceted role as both a businessman and an entrepreneur. Despite his extensive career in acting, which spans several decades, the 55-year-old humorously discouraged fans from prematurely bestowing upon him the title of a legend. With playful modesty, he suggested that he is still on an upward trajectory in his career rather than at its peak.
In a gesture of respect towards his senior colleagues in the industry, such as Oga Bello, Baba Wande, Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, and RMD, Yomi acknowledged their rightful status as Nollywood legends.
Setting the record straight, Yomi Fash-Lanso clarified, “I’m not a Nollywood actor, I’m a Nigerian actor. I’m not a celebrity, and I’m not a legend; I’m just on the rise.”
Furthermore, he highlighted his ventures outside of the entertainment realm, including his business endeavors in wristwatches and men’s clothing, underscoring his diverse interests and pursuits beyond acting.
