In an open letter, Adams accused the President of worsening economic and security policies, clamping down on civil society organizations, and mismanaging the August 1 hunger protest.
Adams highlighted the increase in fuel prices, inflation rate, and unemployment, stating that over 75% of Nigerians have sunk below the poverty line.
He also criticized the President’s response to protests, accusing him of charging #EndBadGovernance protesters with treason.
The Aare Ona Kakanfo reminded the President of his past actions as a democrat and his role in mobilizing Nigerians to challenge the status quo. He expressed disappointment in the President’s current actions, stating that his administration has failed to deliver on its promises.
