Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has berated the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.
Wike, who was reacting to Ayu’s comment labelling the Governor and his allies as children, described the PDP Chairman as an ingrate for his utterances.
The former presidential aspirant gave the outburst during the commissioning of an internal road in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State, on Thursday.

On being called children, Wike said;
“Somebody said we were children when he founded PDP in 1998. You can imagine what power can do, you can imagine an ingrate!
“You said we are children. That same children brought you from the gutter to become the Chairman. Ayu, You were impeached as a Senator. Ayu, Obasanjo sacked you.
“You said you founded the party, but you left to go and join ACN. You are like a man who founded a company and left the company with your shares. Others have come to build that company.
“Ayu, you are sleeping in your house and calling me seconds, per seconds to thank me when I made you chairman, Ayu Haba!”
According to Wike, he hoped that the party will quietly move to reconcile all aggrieved parties and not outburst against he and his allies by Ayu.
The Governor stressed that the party cannot do without he and his allies in 2023.
“Seyi Makinde is a boy? Ikpeazu is a boy? You are an ingrate. I kept quiet thinking we can reconcile, even though I gave you money to campaign but you took the money into your pocket.
“Do you think you can win without us? Don’t worry, at the appropriate time, we shall show you.
“Just look at the type of people that says they want to rule Nigeria, let’s see how.
“You can go and hire media and social media people against me, I will show you when the time comes.
“Ayu, you are an ingrate and you are going nowhere,“ he added.
