Controversial Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has defended Judy Austin amid widespread allegations that she used diabolical means to win over Yul Edochie, insisting the actor simply found happiness in how she treats him.

Taking to social media, Maduagwu dismissed the claims of spiritual manipulation and argued that Yul’s loyalty to Judy is a result of the respect and admiration she consistently shows him—qualities he believes were lacking in his first marriage to May Edochie.

“Judy did not use juju on Yul, she only treated him as a king and lord and that is why he is having happiness,” Maduagwu said.

He admitted that he remains disappointed with Judy for getting pregnant by Yul during his marriage to May, but maintained that the situation should serve as a reminder to married women about how their treatment of their partners can influence the course of their relationships.

“I do not support what Judy did, everybody knows I do not support it. In fact, I am angry that she got pregnant with Yul, but this should be a lesson to married women,” he added.

The actor went on to suggest that many men feel unfulfilled in their marriages but choose to remain silent due to societal expectations. He pointed out a shift in behaviour that often occurs after marriage, claiming that women stop treating their husbands with the same level of devotion they showed while dating.

“Many men are not happy in their marriages but they cannot complain. So many of them are not treated like kings in their homes. Before a man marries a woman, she worships the man, but when they finally get married, the woman begins to change her character,” Maduagwu stated.

His remarks have triggered a wave of discussion online, with opinions sharply divided. While some users found his comments outdated and biased, others agreed that the loss of mutual respect can erode a marriage.
