Yusuf Dantalle will continue to lead Nigeria’s Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) for another two years after securing a unanimous return to office on Monday in Abuja.
The election, which held at the IPAC national secretariat, ended without contest after the only opponent to Dantalle stepped down, clearing the path for an uncontested re-election.

Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Dan Iwanyanwu, briefed reporters shortly after the vote, confirming that the APM national chairman received unanimous endorsement.

“Dantalle has emerged again to lead the council and the decision was unanimously taken,” Iwanyanwu told journalists.
Several key positions in the council also changed hands as new officers were elected into the national executive. Zainab Ibrahim, Deputy National Women Leader of the APC, became the new deputy national chairperson, while Maxwell Mgbudem assumed office as national secretary.

Others elected into the new leadership structure include:
- Maryam Garba — Deputy National Secretary
- Dipo Olayokun — National Treasurer
- Chinyere Kalu — National Organising Secretary
- Umar Mohammed — National Financial Secretary
- Wole Martins — National Publicity Secretary
- Obed Agu — National Legal Adviser
Dantalle’s renewal solidifies his influence within Nigeria’s political coalition body, which plays a central role in mediating and coordinating affairs among registered political parties nationwide.
