Zamfara Blames Informants For Latest Bandit Attacks

Ibrahim Dosara, Zamfara commissioner for information, has reportedly blamed informants for the recent bandits attacks in Zamfara.

Daily Report Ng had earlier reported how least 200 persons were slaughtered in Anna and Bukkuyum Local Government Areas of Zamfara State by bandits.

According to a source, the bandits, who were trying to escape the ongoing military onslaught with a large number of domestic animals, attacked some villages in the two local government areas, killing many.

The source gave the names of the villages attacked as Barayar Zaki, Rafin Danya, Kurfa and Rafin Gero communities.

Commenting on the incident, Zamfara commissioner for information, Ibrahim Dosara, reportedly blamed informants for the attacks.

Dosara reportedly said: “One of the serious problems is that we have a lot of informants getting information to these people. The moment you strategise, the moment the enemies also strategise,” 

The commissioner also reportedly said military aircraft had been deployed alongside security forces to go after the bandits.
