Zamfara: Don’t Assume We Have Overcome The Enemy – Amao Tells Troops

Chief of air staff, Oladayo Amao has charged officers of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to remain focused and exta-vigilant in the fight against terorrism in the northern part of the country.

According to a statement by NAF spokesman, Edward Gabkwet, Amao made this call on Tuesday, during a visit to the air component under operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in Zamfara state.

The chief of Air staff said the current operations against bandits have been yielding positive outcome, but troops must not assume they have overcome the enemy.

“This is not the time for you to be complacent or assume that we have overcome the enemy. Rather, times like this call for utmost discipline, alertness and extra focus on the task ahead,” he said.

He, however commended the gallant officer for their courage, dedication to duty and resolve towards ensuring that the fight against banditry in the country is brought to an end.
