According to reports, stakeholders are worried of the party’s long list of 15 aspirants on the ballot for the primary.

The stakeholders are said to have requested for the aspirants to discuss among themselves, in a bid to cut down the number to three or four.

A party source revealed that the idea may be discussed at the meeting of the PDP National Executive Committee (NEC) slated for Wednesday.

The source, who pleaded anonymity noted that none of the 15 cleared aspirants had been informed about the move.

However, Director of Contact and Mobilisation of the Aminu Tambuwal presidential campaign team, Dr. Nicholas Msheliza, said his principal’s camp was not aware of the plan.

Dr. Msheliza said the Tambuwal camp would keep an open mind on issues relating to his principal’s presidential aspiration.
