14,000 Nigerians Risk Deportation in Germany
Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor, has revealed that there are currently 14,000 Nigerians living in Germany who face the risk of deportation.
According to Scholz, the alarming number is attributed to the significant increase in the number of Nigerians seeking asylum, many of whom lack proper identification cards.
Approximately 12,500 Nigerians are currently in a state of tolerance in Germany due to the Nigerian government’s reluctance to accept individuals without the necessary identity documents.
The Chancellor emphasized that Germany is eager to repatriate any Nigerian national who has exhibited good behavior.
