As the 2023 general elections approach, Nasir el-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, has stated that he has no personal ambitions and will support any candidate who emerges from his party’s zoning structure, even if the candidate is from the South.
The governor stated during the weekly ministerial press briefing organized by the Presidential Communications Team at the presidential villa in Abuja that all he wanted to do was finish his job, get back to his private life, write another book, and make a lot of money.
And if I die today, I will be quite accomplished and happy because, given my humble beginnings, I never imagined I would ever enter this position in my life.
