2023: Paul Okoye Asks Varsities to Close Down for PVC Collection

As the deadline date for Permanent Voter’s Card collection approaches, Nigeria singer Paul Okoye has asked all tertiary institutions to allow students to go and collect their PVCs.

The 41-year-old entertainer stated this in a recent post on social media.

According to Rudeboy, more than one third of the total number of youth-eligible voters were tertiary students who registered during the protracted ASUU strike in 2022.

He said:

Out of the 74 million youths eligible voters, 26 million of them are students and they are all back in school, most of them registered during the Asuu strike ..”

He questioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) why these students were still in their various institutions when PVC collection expires in ten days’ time.

The singer said:

It’s 10 days remaining for collection. @inecnigeria why are students still in school by now?”
