A former Special Assistant to the Delta State Government, Bullet Otuaro has said that the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State is on the verge of extinction.
According to Otuaro, the ruling party in the state is staring defeat in the face in the 2023 general elections.
Otuaro said this during his official unveiling as a member of the All Progressives Congress in Obotebe Ward 10, Burutu local government area.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that the younger brother to the incumbent deputy governor, Kingsley Otuaro, tendered his resignation letter to the PDP last week.
The younger Oruaro proceeded to obtain a membership card of the opposition party in the state and was received with a grand reception by the APC.
Speaking to Daily Report Nigeria after his unveiling, Otuaro described the PDP as a party suffering from deep corruption and the absence of a proper reward mechanism.
He stressed that the PDP will witness an unprecedented level of decamping and would suffer a great defeat at the forthcoming polls.
“Leaving the PDP would go down as one of the best decisions I’ll make in my life. The party is deeply rooted in corruption and has no proper reward pattern for members.
“A great number of people are queued to make the same decision as I’ve done. A great defeat awaits the PDP and it will be the end of the party in the state,” Otuaro said.
On his part, the APC Ward 10 chairman, Fred Owei the party has become even stronger by the addition of Otuaro to its ranks, adding that the PDP will suffer unimaginable defeat in the 2023 elections.
