2023: Pondi Takes to Ughelli to Canvass Support For Atiku, Asupa, Others

The lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Julius Pondi on Sunday, took to took to Ughelli to canvass support for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, ahead of Saturday’s poll.

The two-term lawmaker said only a PDP government from top to bottom can salvage the country from its current tribulations.

Pondi said this when the Ijaw Community in Ughelli endorsed his quest for a third term at the Federal House of Representatives.

President of the community, Chief Funakpo Odogwu said the endorsement was premised on Pondi’s impeccable record that is bare to even the blind.

Odogwu stressed that the community made up of over 60% constituents from Burutu, will be mobilized back to their various units to unanimously cast their votes for the lawmaker.

However, Pondi who commended the people for the endorsement, explained that an Atiku-led Federal Government will make his job of delivering dividends of democracy to his constituency, easier.

The lawmaker urged the people to vote for all PDP candidates including Sheriff Oborevwori for governor, Michael Diden for Senate, Asupa Forteta for Burutu North Constituency, and Peres Oloye for Burutu South Constituency.

He said;

“My people, you just attested to the fact that my record even in a government led by the opposition is mouthwatering. My simple assurance is this, a presidency led by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will be more beneficial to Ijaws.

“Vote Sheriff Oborevwori for governor, Michael Diden Ejele for Senate, Asupa Forteta for Burutu North and Peres Oloye for Burutu South.

“I beseech you give the PDP your votes from top to bottom and together, we shall move this nation to its days of glory.”
