2023 Presidency: Concerned Students of Nigeria Endorse Peter Obi

Students under the aegis of Students for a Better Nigeria (SBN), have thrown their weight behind the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi as their preferred choice for the 2023 poll.

The endorsement formed part of a statement signed by the coalition of student leaders from across various parts of the country.

In the statement made available to Daily Report Nigeria on Wednesday, the students identified Obi as the best man to liberate Nigeria from its many challenges at this point of history.

The statement signed by the SBN National Coordinator, Gogo Andrew Mngutswenga Ibundu, reads in full;

We the students for a better Nigeria, a gathering consisting of Student Union Government leaders across the 36 states of nigeria, various department executives and students of tertiary institutions, begin this press release with salutations to Nigerians at home and diaspora, we commend the struggle and endurance we all passed through, in the last 8 years.

We must draw our attention to the fact that the deterioration in the nation’s economy and basic life amenities was greatly depleted, as Nigerians faced the worst time in their lives since independence.

To us still alive, we must vote PETER OBI, to those who died, we
promise to fight now!!

Cutting through the issues, just but few;

– The owo Attacks
– the train attacks in Kaduna state
– Herdsmen attacks in Benue and Taraba
– neglected flooding in Lagos and Bayelsa
– Insurgency in Borno and kaduna states.
– Lynching of Deborah in Sokoto state
– Villages attacks in Plateau and Nasarawa states.
– The federal express road linking kaduna and Abuja is inaccessible, terrorists have taken
over.
– ASUU strikes have affected students physically and mentally just but a few of the tough
situations.

We the Concerned Students of Nigeria, with the youthful strength and authority vested on
us, we hereby endorse his excellency, MR. PETER GREGORY OBI.

Days back, Atiku Abubakar, during a BBC interview, said Labour Party has no structure, and youths should vote for Obi , if they can.

The wicked speak right before us, for how long shall we continue making these old men trash our youthful strength?

Come 25th February 2023, let’s
go out and take our country back.

Why are we endorsing Peter obi?

Its beyond tribe, region and state affair now. Take a look at all the other candidates, Bola Tinubu is too old for us, we are just coming back from Buhari.

If Nigerian is ours, then we could clearly know the presidency should go round, my fellow Nigerians, God made it clear enough, no other candidate is competent enough.

Atiku has being campaigning for 20years, you feel he still have a good intention? Tinubu will pocket
Nigeria like he pocketed Lagos, VOTE PETER OBI.

It is on record that every section of this country has at one point or the other since the end of the Civil War in 1960 produced the Head of State or President, whether via the
barrel of the gun, or the ballot; except for one region, the South East.

As stated in previous paragraphs, injustice to one should be injustice to all, and there can be no peace without justice. We believe that it’ll be morally wrong for the NDC as a non-partisan organisation and movement of our people to be silent in what is shaping up to be a decisive election which will make or mar this country’s future.

We believe that by being silent, we also lose the moral right to speak up against the injustices which our people have suffered and continue to suffer within the Nigerian
Federation.

Finally, we show a confirmation that the students have a say by ENDORSING PETER OBI.

25th February, Go out in massive and vote, lets get our country back!!
