Youths interested in vying for political offices in 2023 under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party, have been granted a 50% price deduction for nomination and expression of interest forms.

This was stated in the communique released by the PDP at the end of its 95th National Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

The communique signed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary pegged nomination and expression of interest forms for presidential hopefuls at N40 million, while the forms will cost governorship aspirants N21 million.

Senate and House of Representatives hopefuls will cough out N3.5 million and N2.5 million respectively for both forms.

Also, aspirants for State House of Assembly across the country will pay N600,000 to buy nomination and expression of interest forms.

However, youths between the age brackets of 25 – 30 years will have a 50% slash on prices for the forms.

This means that youths with intentions of contesting for presidential and governorship seats will cough out N20 million and N10.5 million for the forms.

Forms for Senate and House of Representatives will see youths cough out N1.7 million and N1.25 million respectively.

Youths contesting for their state’s assembly will also be made to part with N300,000 to obtain forms for the election.

The party also announced March 17, 2022 as the commencement date for the sale of forms.
