Breaking: ‘No Registration on IPPIS, No Salary,’ Buhari Tells ASUU

President Muhammadu Buhari has told the Academic Staff Union of Universities that all civil servants must be enrolled in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System to enable them receive their salaries henceforth.

Recall that ASUU has been on strike since March, over a disagreement with the Federal Government on the mode of payment of lecturers across the country.

However, President Buhari while presentating the 2021 Budget to a Joint Sitting of the National Assembly on Thursday, maintained that was no going back on the FG’s decision to use the IPPIS for payment of all categories of civil servants.

During the presentation that lasted 50 minutes, Buhari reiterated that revenue generation was the major challenge facing his administration.
