21-years-old bricklayer, Biodun Owolabi, has been arrested alongside his accomplices, Festus Simon (20), and a prophet for killing Quadri Olalekan, a 13-years-old secondary school pupil, in Ibadan, Oyo state, for money ritual.
The incident was learnt to have occurred on Saturday, October 31, 2020, after the deceased was tricked to a bricklaying work at Iyana Church, Iwo road, Ibadan.
They had been working together since the inception of COVID-19 lockdown which led to the closure of schools.
Several hours later, when the mother could not find him, a distress alarm was raised as a search party began looking for Olalekan.
The prime suspect, Owolabi, later confessed to killing the child after initially denying his whereabouts.
While Owolabi took members of the community to the place where the young lad was buried, it was discovered that some vital organs and body parts of the deceased Olalekan were missing.
Meanwhile, the deceased 14th birthday was on Sunday, November 1, as his mother had bought him clothes to celebrate it before he was killed a day to his birthday.
