22 Injured As Bus Rams Into Christmas Celebrants In Gombe

A handful of people have sustained injuries, following an accident during Christmas celebrations in Gombe.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the incident which happened in the Tumfure community, Gombe, on Christmas Day, saw 22 people get injured.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Gombe police command noted that the people were on their way to the Government House and Gombe Emir’s Palace for homage when the accident occurred.

He added that no casualties ware recorded, and the injured people have been to the Federal Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital.

The commissioner of police has also enjoined the Motor Traffic Department to carry out a detailed investigation to know the cause of the accident.

Also reacting to the accident, the Governor of the state, Inuwa Yahaya has expressed sympathy to the victims, as well as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), while also pledging to take full responsibility for the hospital bills.
