3 Feared Dead, Many Injured as APC, PDP Members Clash | Daily Report Nigeria

Three persons have reportedly been died and 13 others left with varying degree of injuries following a clash between members of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State.

The incident took place on Thursday at the Ile-Tuntun area of Ibadan South East Local Government Area of the state.

A yet to be ascertained number of motorcycles and vehicles were also left destroyed during the clash.

Sources say members of the APC were in a meeting at the their office Iyana Court, Ile-tuntun in Ibadan when vehicles of the PDP members passing by provoked loyalists of the APC, who hauled objects at them.

An eyewitness told newsmen, “PDP then got angry. And when retaliated, a leading member of the party and a member of the House of Representatives then picked a gun and fired gunshots at the APC members. That was what led to free for all.

“The provoked attack saw many members of the APC injured with one of the party’s House of Assembly candidates escaped by the whiskers.”

The remains of the dead victims have been evacuated to the morgue, while injured are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
