Five suspected armed robbers have reportedly died following a serious gun duel with Police Officers from “B” Division in Warri, Delta State.
It was however, learnt that the suspects who sustained varying degree of gunshot injuries died before getting to the hospital.
The Police also recovered two (2) locally made cut-to-size single barrel guns, three (03) rounds of expended cartridges, three rounds of live cartridges and one dagger, from the suspects.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammad Ali disclosed this at a press briefing in Asaba today.
The Police boss said the Police on Aberdeen patrol along lower Erejuwa Street Warri, received a distress call that a suspected gang of armed robbers were terrorizing Igbudu market/old welfare.
According to him,”The teams acting on this information, swiftly moved to the scene, where the hoodlums on sighting the police engaged them in a gun duel, during which five of the hoodlums sustained serious gunshot injuries.”
According to the police boss, the suspects died before getting to the hospital,
