A man identified as Dauda Ibrahim, 80, has been arrested for kidnapping and killing his 15-year-old daughter, Sherifah for ritual purpose.
The incident happened in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State and the suspect is said to be a staff of the Federal Polytechnic, Idah, in the department of Works and Fire Services unit.
Ibrahim alongside two others, Isah Adams and one Adah were said to have kidnapped the deceased on August 4, at their residence in Okenya, along Itayi street, in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area of the State.

Few days after her dissapearance, her mutilated body was discovered in a shallow grave.
It was however said that some vital organs were missing.
SP Williams Ayah, the State command’s Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident, explained that the suspect and his accomplices were presently under police custody.
According to the State PPRO, the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka has directed that the matter be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department in Lokoja for further investigation.
“The commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka, has ordered for an investigation into the case of an alleged kidnap, killing and disappearance of the body parts of a young lady identified as Miss Sherrifah, a 15-year-old girl in Idah by her father.” he said
The PPRO assured that a thorough investigation into the matter would be carried out by the police operatives to ascertain the circumstances leading to the kidnap and death of the deceased.
