INC Calls For Sustenance of Ijaw Culture | Daily Report Nigeria

The Ijaw National Congress (INC) has called for the sustenance of the Ijaw culture across all kingdoms that make up its numbers.

INC President, Prof. Benjamin Okaba, made the call at the just concluded Kabowei Seigbein Cultural Festival 2023.

In his goodwill message to the Kabowei kingdom, Okaba, who was the Special Guest of Honor, congratulated the Pere of Kabowei, HRM Barr PS Erebulu Aduo II for successfully hosting the year’s festival.

He also extended his congratulations to the entire people of the kingdom for sustaining its cultural values.

Okaba reiterated the need for Ijaws across the globe to maintain the culture and heritage of their people.

Speaking further, the apex sociocultural body of the Ijaws urged the political class, particularly that in Delta State to mend their differences and work together to achieve a common goal for the good of the Ijaws of Delta, considering that the elections are over.

Okaba also used the opportunity to sensitize the people ahead of the forthcoming national population census and called on all Ijaw sons and daughters to make themselves available for an accurate enumeration.

He applauded the monarch and the Kabowei people for constituting a Developmental Funds Committee and promised to make his input.

The president was accompanied by the National Publicity Secretary, Engr. Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, the Financial Secretary, Chief Kennedy Odiowei, Clan Chairmen, and INC congress members.
