The Nigerian Air Force in Abuja has been gutted by fire.
The incident led to palpable panic
There was palpable on Wednesday morning as buildings within the Nigerian Air Force Base along Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory went up in flames.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire outbreak that affected the military base just beside the Nigerian Correctional Service National Headquarters is yet to be ascertained as of press time.

Also, videos monitored by Daily Report Nigeria show a swift intervention by operatives of the Federal Fire Service attempting to curtail the fire from escalating.

Confirming the incident to Punch, Head of Operations, FFF FCT, Amiola Adebayo, revealed that firefighters were working tirelessly to completely put out the inferno.

“The fire gutted part of the NAF Base, and our men are here putting out the fire, and we’re working hard to completely quench the fire,” Adebayo said.
“However, I can’t confirm the cause of the fire outbreak yet, but we’ll put out a statement once our findings are concluded,” he added.
