The former Minister for Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen has issued a statement dismissing claims that she was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering of about two billion naira.

Tallen stated that she visited the EFCC to clear the air on the matter and that there was no formal invitation from the anti-graft agency nor was she arrested.

When probed on Friday, Tallen explained that she did not address the issue before now out of respect for her former principal, President Muhammadu Buhari.
