DSS Arrests Abuja-Kaduna Train Manager

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the  Abuja-Kaduna Kaduna Railway Service Director, Pascal Nnorli.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Nnorli’s arrest followed a leaked memo warning of a possible terrorist attack on the Abuja-Kaduna Railway.

A reliable source from the Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC told newsmen on condition of anonymity that the manager was arrested along with chief executive Victor Adamu and other employees.

Last Wednesday, the DSS issued a security alert to the NRC about the plot by robbers to attack the Abuja-Kaduna railway line at any time.

In a memo signed by the Director of DSS, FCT Command, RN Adepemu, the secret police warned passengers on board to be safety conscious.

The NRC source said:

“Do you know that they have arrested our manager since last Thursday – the two of them, the operation manager and Pascal? But they have released one of them.

“Victor is a victim of circumstances because they met him in Pascal’s office, so they arrested him together with all Pascal’s staff and took them to the DSS office. Pascal is still there now.”

The source affirmed the arrest was likely related to the leaked DSS memo.

The source claimed the letter, which detailed sensitive information about the attack, was sent to the NRC’s chief executive, indicating that it had explicitly warned that if the letter was leaked, it could lead to arrests.

The source said:
“I couldn’t tell why they arrested them but what I am hearing is they said one letter concerning this Abuja-Kaduna attack, they wrote one letter to our Managing Director and it states clearly that if the letter leaks, it can lead to arrest and according to DSS it was Pascal’s office they dropped the letter and the letter leaked and went viral.”

Meanwhile, the NRC Managing Director, Fidet Okhiria declined to comment when contacted.
