Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima has promised to buy Atiku Abubakar goats to rear while reacting to the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Court on Wednesday.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the court on Wednesday upheld the election and proclamation of Bola Tinubu as Nigerian president by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The court dismissed the claims brought against Tinubu by Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi the Labour Party (LP) candidates in the February 25 election.

Shetima teased Atiku while speaking with reporters after Wednesday night’s verdict and said:
“We are not going to retire Atiku Abubakar to Dubai or Morocco. I will retire him to Kombina, I will buy him goats and broilers and layers so that he can spend his days rearing goats and broilers.”
But the Vice President said the Tinubu government will use Atiku’s extensive experience to put Nigeria on a path of growth and development.
Shettima said there was a socio-cultural interaction between his tribe, Kanuri, and Atiku’s— Fulani, however, he said:
“Politics is a game of nerves, not emotions.”
He promised that Tinubu’s government would focus on governance going forward.
