Supreme Court Judges Reduce to 10 as Justice Musa Dattijo Retires

Justice Musa Dattijo, a Supreme Court Justice will retire from the bench on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Dattijo’s retirement notice served on the apex court’s management will lapse on the date when a valedictory court session will be held in his honour.

The Justice will clock 70 years of mandatory retirement age on October 27.

In a statement signed by its Director of Press and Information, Dr Akande Aweneri Festus, the court disclosed that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will preside over a valedictory session in honour of the retiring jurist, on Friday.

The bench of the Supreme Court of Nigeria has hit an all-time low of 10 Justices following the retirement of Dattijo.
