A lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, has claimed that demolition of buildings in Lagos State is making it tough for Igbos to be Nigerians.

Ejimakor, who is special counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), stated this while lamenting over the demolition of properties belonging to Igbos in the southwest State.

There have been allegations that the Lagos State government is targeting and demolishing buildings owned by Igbos.

Also, it was alleged markets and areas populated by Igbos were being targeted.

Posting on X, Ejimakor stressed that the demolition in Lagos State is notoriously discriminatory and unjust, claiming it is a systemic injustice against Igbos.

According to him: “The relentless demolition in Lagos is so notoriously discriminatory and unjust, such that it will surely trouble Lagos State with countless scorched-earth litigations.

“For now, it has done so much to add to the systemic injustices that make it very tough for Ndigbo to be Nigerians.”
