Foremost philanthropist, businessman, and CEO of the Good Joe Foundation, Mr. Goodluck Joel, has urged Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to uphold the principles of democracy by allowing the people to elect a credible and qualified candidate of their choice as the Burutu Council Chairman.

In a recent statement that resonated across political circles in Delta State, Mr. Joel, known for his commitment to community development and social welfare initiatives, emphasized the importance of democratic processes in governance, especially at the grassroots level.

He stressed that the selection of local government officials should reflect the will and aspirations of the people they represent.

“The democratic principles of inclusivity and accountability must be upheld throughout the selection process. It is essential to maintain the integrity of our democratic institutions and respect the rights of the people to choose their representatives freely,” Mr. Joel added.

His advocacy for democratic participation and good governance reflects the growing demand among citizens for transparent and accountable leadership at all levels of government.
