In Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, a tragic incident unfolded when bandits mercilessly attacked the Gindin Dutse Makyali village.

At least nine lives were inside their homes consumed by flames, and nine others suffered severe injuries during this brutal assault.

According to reports, the attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday, close to a military checkpoint.

The bandits infiltrated the community around 5 am, catching the residents off guard as they slept.

It was said that the bandits, emboldened by the lack of resistance from the stationed military personnel, set fire to fourteen houses during the prolonged attack.

Armed banditry has surged in the North-West region, particularly in Kaduna State, over recent weeks.

A few days ago, another attack occurred in the same local government area.

In Kwassam and Sabon Layin communities, bandits claimed the lives of six people, including a former Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and his younger brother.

Also, fifty individuals were kidnapped during an assault in Sabon Layin village.
