The news coming out of Spain isn’t looking good for Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti. According to reports from Relevo, the Prosecutor’s Office in Spain is pushing for a hefty five-year prison sentence for Ancelotti due to alleged tax fraud.
This stems from two charges accusing the Italian of defrauding the Treasury of more than €1 million, dating back to his initial tenure at Madrid between 2014 and 2015.
The Prosecutor’s Office is specifically seeking a prison term of four years and nine months for Ancelotti. The crux of the issue revolves around Ancelotti allegedly failing to declare income from image rights in his tax returns, only reporting his earnings from his role as manager of Real Madrid.

The amounts under scrutiny are substantial, totaling €386,361 in 2014 and €675,718 in 2015. If these allegations hold true in court, Carlo Ancelotti could be facing significant legal consequences, including a lengthy stint behind bars.
