After Arsenal’s victory over Brighton in Saturday’s Premier League match, former Liverpool star Danny Murphy drew comparisons between Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and England legend David Beckham.
Murphy praised the Norwegian midfielder for his standout performance in the 3-0 win. Odegaard has consistently impressed for Arsenal since joining the North London club from Real Madrid a few years ago.
“Even among some brilliant Arsenal performances, Martin Odegaard stood out for me,” Murphy wrote in his column for MailSport.

“He set the tone for a hugely impressive win and I can’t pay him a higher compliment than saying his captaincy reminds me of the way David Beckham led the England team I was part of.”
