Fulham’s midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has achieved a remarkable milestone in the Premier League, setting a new record for the most minutes played by a Nigerian player.
Iwobi broke the previous record held by former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi after completing a full 90 minutes in Fulham’s 1-0 home loss to Newcastle United on Saturday.
With this accomplishment, Iwobi has accumulated a total of 16,289 minutes played in the English top-flight, surpassing Mikel’s previous record of 16,218 minutes.

The 27-year-old has previously played for Arsenal and Everton before making the move to Craven Cottage.
Known for his versatility, Alex Iwobi has contributed five goals in 25 league appearances for Fulham this season, showcasing his talent on the field.
He made the transition to Marco Silva’s side from Everton last summer, continuing to make his mark in the Premier League.
