Liverpool’s Title Hopes Dented After Merseyside Derby Loss to Everton

Liverpool

Liverpool’s hopes of clinching the Premier League title suffered a major setback on Wednesday night as they fell 2-0 to Everton in the Merseyside Derby.

The Reds entered the match needing a win to keep up with Arsenal, who crushed Chelsea 5-0 the previous night. Instead, it was Everton who drew first blood, with Jarrad Branthwaite scoring in the first half.

Liverpool pushed for an equalizer after the break, but it was Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s emphatic header that sealed the win for the home side.
