ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Leicester City v Chelsea

One of the biggest Premier League games this weekend sees the leaders, Chelsea face Leicester City away from home.

Thomas Tuchel’s side drew last their league match with Burnley on November 6, and hope to take revenge on Brenders Rodger’s men at lunchtime having received an injury boost with the return of Romelu Lukaku, who picked up knee injury against Malmo since 20th of last month.

The 28-year-old has began making strides to return to action as he took to the grass during the international break at Cobham. Mason mount has also returned to training ahead of the clash.

In all competitions, the Foxes have won twice of their meetings with the Blues in the 2020-2021 session, with one League win in January and another victory in the FA Cup final in May.

Liverpool v Arsenal.

Anfield will be made to tremble on Saturday evening when Jorge Klopp and his men welcome the Gunners who are said to be currently more than a match for Liverpool in the ongoing league campaign.

Although, the Reds are up in 4th place with one place and two points ahead of Mikel Arteta’s team, the hosts are out of shape having lost one and drew one in the last two league games whereas the visitors who have only drawn two, have not lost in their last eight games after a disappointing 5-0 loss to Manchester City since August.

Arsenal will want to keep their balance by securing at least a point in the clash against the currently staggering Liverpool.

SPANISH LA LIGA

Real Sociedad v Valencia

On Sunday, La Liga surprise league leaders Real Sociedad will go competitive with Jose Bordalas’ citizens who are down in 10th spot.

Imanol Alguacil’s citizens have been impressive since the start of this campaign and have had only one defeat and that was the first league game against Barca.

That said, Los Txuri-Urdin’s home unbeaten run stills continues after 13 league matches so far. The hosts will therefore anticipate to stretch their stay on top of the La Liga table as they clash against VAL this weekend.

GERMANY BUNDESLIGA

Hoffenheim v RB Leipzig

Hoffenheim hosts Jesse Marsch and his team for a Bundesliga duel fixed for 3:30 at PreZero Arena on Saturday.

The Red Bulls had a poor start to the season having just one win in their opening five matches.

However, they have now found their feet to a tear of seven unbeaten games, with some huge scalps in that run including the 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund prior to the international break.

Hence, Sebastian Hoeneß’s side who are up fifth will focus on the four home-match winning streak just like the tenth-placed RBL look forward to extending the unbeaten streak of the last six matches.

ITALY SERIE A

Inter Milan v Napoli

Serie ‘A’ leaders, Victor Osimhen’s Napoli will be at loggerheads with La Beneamata in a league match to be staged at Giuseppe Meazza in Milan.

The visitors will hope to hold on to first place in the same way they won’t want the third-ranked Inter to overpower them as such will see an end to their league’s unbeaten run.

On the other side, Simeone Inzaghi’s citizens will hope to close the seven-point gap between themselves and top spot.

According to today’s report in the Italian media, Inter duo, Edin Dzeko and Alessandro Bastoni will be fit enough to feature in the Sunday game.

However, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez are both uncertain for the contest.

That’s it!

Top Five league matches you wouldn’t afford to miss, brought to you by Daily Report Nigeria.
