The 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA, held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, has sparked widespread reactions. Funke Akindele’s film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ notably snubbed, has become a major topic of discussion.

Despite its groundbreaking success as the first Nigerian movie to surpass N1 billion in cinema revenue last December, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ lost all five of its nominations.

Meanwhile, ‘Breath Of Life’ emerged as the biggest winner of the night, taking home six awards. These include Best Movie, Best Sound Design, Best Director (BB Sasore), Best Lead Actor (Wale Ojo), Best Supporting Actor (Ademola Adedoyin), and Best Supporting Actress (Genoveva Umeh), as well as the Trailblazer award for Chimezie Imo.
