Tragedy struck in Bauchi State with the death of Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmad Aliyu Jalam, in a fatal car accident on Saturday.
Governor Bala Mohammed announced the sad news in a statement on Sunday, extending his condolences to Jalam’s family and the people of the state.
Mohammed described him as a dedicated public servant who tirelessly worked for the betterment of his community.

He added that the deceased’s unwavering commitment to good governance and community development earned him respect and admiration.
The Late Commissioner is survived by his wives and children.
His funeral was planned to take place on Sunday in his hometown, Dambam Local Government Area, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
