Federal Population Commissioner Passes Away | Daily Report Nigeria

The National Population Commission (NPC) has announced the passing of its Federal Commissioner representing Yobe State, Mai Aliyu Muhammed.

Muhammed’s passing was announced in a statement by the Acting Director of Public Affairs, Mrs Nkoyo Nwakusor.

Nwakusor stated that the Commiser died on April 21, 2024, while performing the Umrah (lesser hajj) in Saudi Arabia.

She added that he has been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions.

The NPC, in its statement, voiced its condolences and regret over the loss of its Commissioner.

It read:

The National Population Commission regrets to announce the death of the Honourable Federal Commissioner representing Yobe State in the Commission, Mai Aliyu Muhammed.

The late Mai Aliyu Muhammed passed away on 21st April 2024 while performing the lesser hajj in Saudi Arabia and has been buried according to the Islamic rites.”
