Renowned musician D’banj has acknowledged the significant impact his former business partner and producer, Don Jazzy, had on his career.
The ‘Oliver Twist’ hitmaker emphasized that his musical journey would be incomplete without Don Jazzy. On Tuesday, he shared a clip from his visit to Don Jazzy, during which he handed him an invitation to his 20th-anniversary dinner in the music industry.
D’banj described the nostalgic moment, reflecting on the milestones they achieved together. Sharing the video on his X handle, he captioned it: “My 20-year journey cannot be complete without @DONJAZZY again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia. As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together. D’banj and Don Jazzy co-founded Mo’Hits Records in 2004, which disbanded in 2012 due to differing interests. Don Jazzy subsequently established Mavin Records, while D’banj started DB Records.
