Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has stated that Anthony Joshua will face the winner of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk if he defeats Daniel Dubois in September.
Joshua’s last fight was in March, where he knocked out former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in the second round.
Speaking to the UK Sun, Hearn emphasized their main goal is for Joshua to reclaim the world heavyweight title.

“I expect the winner of the December fight to face Anthony Joshua, assuming he wins in September. There’s no final decision on the opponent yet; there are three or four options in consideration. But that’s definitely the plan,” Hearn said.
He added, “The first priority is regaining the world heavyweight title, and of course, becoming undisputed has always been the dream. So, I think we’re two fights away from achieving that. But first, we have to win them.”
Last month, Usyk defeated Fury in a historic bout via split decision. Usyk’s victory made him the first boxer since Lennox Lewis in 1999 to unify the heavyweight division, adding the WBC title to his WBA (Super), WBO, IBF, and IBO titles previously held.
