Barcelona midfielder, Gavi has been named the 2022 Best Young Player Award at the 2022 Ballon d’Or awards.
Gavi took home the award by beating Jude Bellingham, Bakyo Saka, and Jamal Musiala.
By winning the Kopa Trophy, Gavi follows in the footsteps of partner Pedri, who won the award last year.

Karim Benzema was obviously the biggest winner of the night. The Frenchman won his first Ballon d’Or after numerous nominations.
Benzema scored 44 goals in 46 games for Real Madrid last season and was top scorer in La Liga and the Champions League.
Alexis Putellas won her second career Ballon d’Or in two consecutive years.
Thibaut Courtois won the Yachine Trophy for Best Goalkeeper, while Robert Lewandoski won the Ger Muller Award for Top Scorer.
Senegal’s Sadio Mane, who came second behind Benzema in the Ballon d’Or was also awarded with the Socrates Award for his charity works.
