He revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had instructed him to visit the victims and ensure that security actions are implemented to protect Nigerian lives and properties.

Shettima assured the victims that both the Federal Government and the Borno state government will support them and cover all medical expenses.

Out of the 42 initially hospitalized, 14 have been discharged, while 26 continue to receive medical care. The VP’s visit aimed to demonstrate solidarity with the victims and reassure them of ongoing government support.

Recall that the suicide bombing occurred on Saturday in Gwoza, leaving 42 people hospitalized. Unfortunately, two of the victims later succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total death toll to 32.
