Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is reportedly open to allowing the sale of vice-captain Ben Chilwell if the right offer comes in.

According to The Athletic, the club is prepared to move the left-back, who is one of the highest earners at Stamford Bridge, earning around £200,000 a week.

Maresca has reservations about whether Chilwell’s skills fit his tactical plans. Despite being a key player for Chelsea over the years, the England international has struggled with injuries, which have impacted his time in West London.

Last season, the 27-year-old managed only 21 appearances in all competitions due to a persistent hamstring issue.
