Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has downplayed the impact of Kylian Mbappe’s move to La Liga, where Mbappe recently joined Real Madrid as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe, who has taken the number 9 shirt, is known for his versatility, often playing as a winger or a striker. Despite leaving PSG as their top scorer with 256 goals, Lewandowski, who is ten years his senior and also one of the top goal scorers of his generation, isn’t fazed by the competition.
Robert Lewandowski pointed out that their playing styles are quite different. “I’m not sure that Mbappé is a striker like me,” Lewandowski said. “He plays in a different position and has a different style of football. For us, it’s a new motivation, a new season.”
