The leader of the protest who spoke to the Federal government, said;
‘’I am to express the feelings, the worry of Nigerian youths to the government of the present day. We have found ourselves in dilemma, lack of food and stability. There is no justice in Nigeria. It isn’t democracy if we are denied our right to protest. We are here to protest peacefully. We have no issue of vandalizing government property. Let the world know and let our leaders acknowledge that Nigerian youths are not locally ignorant of what is happening in their country. We have achieved a lot in the time of Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Saudana Of Sokoto, Makama of Bida, Herbert Macaulay, Murtala Mohammed. Our forefathers gave us the history of how these men were dedicated to developing Nigeria and bringing sanity, security and justice. Justice is denied in Nigeria today as politicians take Nigerians like animals. We are left in Hunger and all Nigerians know about it”
