A man has been remanded in prison for the rape of a minor in Oyo state.
The man, identified as Kareem Mojeed was said to have lured his landlord’s seven year old into his room and defiled her on July 21 at 5:00 pm at Ebedi area of Ibadan, in Oyo state.

Kareem was made to face the Chief Magistrate of the Iyaganku Family Court in Ibadan Oyo State, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi, on Wednesday, where the statement reads that the the offences committed contravened Section 34 of the Oyo State Child’s Rights Law, 2006.
The court ordered the defendant be remanded in prison at the Agodi Correctional Centre, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
